    August Team received food donation!!

    Thanks to a big donation received through our Lithuanian colleague Rima Proscevičiūtė, we were able to buy 400kg of maize and 100kg of soya beans. Today we went to the mill to grind the first 100kg of maize and 50kg of soya beans into powder. This mixed powder will be used to make porridge for the children in our 15 pre-schools.     私は、Nakebolle(ナカブラ)という学校で働いています。そこには14歳から18歳までの少年たちが学校に行きながら暮らしています。少年 たちにはそれぞれ家庭問題、アルコール依存症、ドラックを使用していた、盗みをしていたなど問題があり、私の働いている学校に一緒に暮ら しています。初めてこの学校に派遣される事が決まった時、まわりの人に気をつけてと言われていたので少し緊張していました。実際に学校に 行ってみて少年たちと話をしてみるとみんなすごくいい子たちでした。もちろん彼らはまだ多感な時期なのでケンカをしたり、たまに学校を抜 け出したりしてしまいますが私は彼らとの生活、学校をとても楽しく暮らしています。生徒の中には運動をするのが好きな子がいて一緒にジョギングに行ったり、料理が好きな子と一緒にケーキを作ったり、キャッチボールやサッカーなどをして良い関係を築いていっています。…
